Upo Marsh: Summer (2010)

Before coming to Korea, I knew nothing of wetlands and their importance to ecological diversity. Since arriving to Korea, I’ve had the opportunity to go on a DMZ Eco-Tour and explore for myself Suncheon Bay’s tidal flats on two occasions. These experiences have helped me to appreciate Korea’s natural habitats and the creatures that live in them. The result has been a growing interest in nature, and so I decided to take a trip to the Upo Marsh (우포늡) at the end of the summer season.
